Pakistani politician, celebrity, and former cricketer. Imran Khan was Pakistani most successful cricket captain, leading his country to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup. After retiring from cricket, he entered politics. In 1996, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf political party was formed and Khan became its chairman.
Imran Khan is the current and 22nd PM of Pakistan. He was born in 1952 to a Pashtun family in Lahore and graduated from Oxford Keble College in 1975. He started his international cricket career at the age of 18 in the 1971 Test series against England. Khan played until 1992, captained the team intermittently between 1982 and 1992, and won the Cricket World Cup, Pakistan’s first and only victory in the competition. He is considered one of the famous personalities of Pakistan.
In 1991, he launched a fundraising campaign to establish a cancer hospital in his mother’s ‘Mrs. Shaukat Khanum’ memory. He raised 25 million in 1994 to build a hospital in Lahore, and in 2015 set up a second hospital in Peshawar. Khan also served as Chancellor of the University of Bradford between 2005 and 2014.

Abdul Sattar Edhi, a well-known philanthropist, emigrated to Pakistan in the early 20’s and started working as a commission agent to sell cloth in wholesale markets and from there opened the next free dispensary in Pakistan and moved to work for welfare.
He was the founder of the Edhi Foundation, which runs the world’s largest volunteer ambulance network with homeless shelters, animal shelters, rehabilitation centers and orphanages around the world. After his death, his son Faisal Edhi took over as head of the Edhi Foundation.
Together with his wife, Bilquis Edhi, he received the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1986 for public service. He has also received the Lenin Peace Prize and the Balzan Prize. In September 2010, Edhi awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Bedfordshire. Edhi received the award of ‘Nishan-e-Imtiaz’ from the Government of Pakistan in 1985.
Malala Yousafzai, the world’s most famous young girl, is a Pakistani schoolgirl and educator from Mingora town, Swat District, KPK Province. She is known for advocating for human rights, especially for the education of women and children in his native Swat Valley in northwestern Pakistan, KPK. The local Taliban banned girls from going to school.
On October 9, 2012, Yousafzai shot in the head and neck by Taliban gunmen while returning home on a school bus. The assassination attempt sparked a national and international backlash over Yousafzai’s support.
In the April 29, 2013 issue of Time Magazine, Malala featured on the front page of the magazine. Yousafzai was Pakistan’s first National Youth Peace Award winner and was nominated for the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize. At the age of 17, she was the youngest Nobel Peace Award laureate ever.
Benazir Bhutto was the daughter of former PM Zulfikar Ali Bhutto & wife of President of Asif Ali Zardari. A Pakistani politician who served as the Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1988 to 1990 and again from 1993 to 1996.
Bhutto was born in Karachi to a politically important, wealthy elderly family. Pakistan’s assassinated Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto spent 20 years pursuing higher education abroad. He studied at Radcliffe College, Harvard University and then studied philosophy, international law, diplomacy, politics and economics at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford.
At a political rally in Rawalpindi, she was killed. The Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility, although the involvement of the Pakistani Taliban and rogue elements of the intelligence services widely suspected. He was buried in his family shrine.

World-famous Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram is considered one of the Pakistani greatest fast bowlers in the history of cricket. He was a real left-arm fast bowler who could bowl with significant speed and left-handed batsman. He represented Pakistan national cricket team in Test cricket and ODIs.
Wasim ‘Sultan of Swing’ was performing brilliantly until his mid-20s, where he took 143 wickets in 107 matches and by the time of the 1992 World Cup, he was a prominent name in the world of international cricket. Abdul Qadeer Khan, also known as ‘Mohsin-e-Pakistan’ in Pakistan. Dr. AQ Khan is a Pakistani nuclear scientist and metallurgical engineer. He is known as the “father of the uranium enrichment project” for his nation’s hidden atomic bomb program. He is one of the most famous people in Pakistan.
Khan was born in India and immigrated to Pakistan in 1947. He studied metallurgical engineering at technical universities in Western Europe. In 1974, Khan returned to Pakistan and start working at Nuclear Project. He joined the Atom Bomb Program and became a member of the Enrichment Division at PAEC.
Khan continued to push for uranium methods with most efforts aimed at developing military-grade plutonium. Due to his great efforts, Pakistan became the atomic power by successfully testing the uranium bomb at Chagai-1 & Chagai-II. Khan has been awarded by Nishan-i-Imtiaz and Hilal-i-Imtiaz.
A world-class Pakistani playback singer and actress Noor Jahan, also known by her honorary title of ‘Malika Taranum’. She worked in British India and Pakistan. Noor Jahan is famous throughout South Asia as one of the best and most influential singers of all time and awarded the title of Malika-Tarnam in Pakistan. She was in command of Indian classical music as well as other genres of music.
Noor was born in Kasur, Pakistan and her birth name was Allah Wasai. At the age of 6, she appeared on stage in Calcutta as Baby Noor jahan for director Diwan Sardari Lal. She holds the record for singing the most film songs in the history of Pakistani cinema. It is estimated that she made more than 40 films and sang about 20,000 songs during her career. She is considered one of the most famous singers of all time.

Shahid Khan Afridi ‘Boom Boom’ a Pakistani Successful all-rounder and former team captain. Khan holds the world record for the fastest ODI century in 37 deliveries and also has the distinction of hitting the most sixes in the history of ODI cricket. Afridi considers himself a better bowler than the batsman and has taken 350 wickets and 48 Test wickets in ODIs. As of January 2020, Afridi is second on the T20 chart with 98 wickets in 99 matches. He is the only cricketer to hit 400 sixes in the history of cricket. It has one of the largest fan clubs in the world.
In March 2014, Shahid Afridi founded the Shahid Afridi Foundation, which aims to provide health care and education facilities in Pakistan. In August 2015, he named one of the most charitable athletes in the world. UNICEF and many Pakistani officials have taken Shahid Afridi to fight against polio in the Waziristan tribal region.
Afridi was awarded the Pride of Performance by President Asif Ali Zardari in March 2010. On March 23, 2018, President Mamnoon Hussain awarded him the Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
Nawaz Sharif entered the political world during Bhutto’s rule in Pakistan when the Sharif family lost its steel business due to his national policies. He joined the Pakistan Muslim League in 1976 and never looked back.
He is a Pakistani businessman and politician who has served as the Prime Minister of Pakistan three times. Sharif is Pakistan’s longest-serving prime minister, serving a total of more than nine years.
Born into the upper-middle class Sharif family in Lahore, he is the son of Sharif and the founder of the Sharif Group, Muhammad Sharif. A Pakistani singer, musician and music director, basically a singer of Qawwali, Sufi Islamic devotional music is a form of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
He was Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan’s brother and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s uncle. His family has been musicians and singers of Qawwali (Islamic devotional music) for six centuries.
Khan was born in 1948 in Faisalabad, Pakistan to a Punjabi Muslim family.
He was the fifth child and first son of Fateh Ali Khan, a musicologist, singer, composer and poet. Nusrat woke up for singing, and forty days later performed her first public performance at her father’s last rites at the age of 15. He died in 1997.
