Pakistani Chicken Biryani Recipe

This is a very tasty and delicious chicken biryani recipe. Try it at home and have fun with your family.


  • 2 cups Basmati- Rice
  • 3/4kg Chicken pieces
  • 1 cup Yoghurt
  • Onion 3 large, sliced
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • Green coriander leaves 2 tbsp, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic paste
  • A pinch Saffron
  • 1 tsp Green chilli paste
  • 1/2 cup Tomato puree
  • 2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder (roasted)
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Water 3 1/2 cups
  • 7 tbsp Oil
  • Salt as required

How to Cook:

  1. Mix tomato yogurt, puri, green chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, turmeric powder, hot spice powder, coriander powder and salt.
  1. Take the chicken and toss in the same mixture. Let it rest for 3-4 hours.
  2. Put oil in a pan, heat it and fry the onions till they turn golden brown.
  3. Now add the marinated chicken and cook the whole mixture for ten minutes.
  4. Then take the rice in a pressure cooker and add 1/1 / cup of water. Also, take saffron, mix it in milk and add it to rice.
  5. Finally, add cardamom powder and chicken pieces along with the ketchup.
  6. Cover with foil and close the lid. The sheets do not allow steam to escape.
  7. Cook on low heat for 15 minutes on a griddle. If you don’t have tawa, cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
  8. Gently mix the rice and gravy before serving.
  9. Now, your delicious chicken biryani is ready to serve
  10. Serve with biryani raita and salad.

  • Make the briyani korma perfect.
