Many developed countries now have entered a technology trade war. They are trying hard to lead the world with the best technology services providers. Today Huawei has held a very strong position in Pakistan’s telecom sector. With the rapid use of internet 3G/4G technology, the demand for high bandwidth is increasing at a fast pace. With this fast-moving pace, it was reported that PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) has unveiled to a draft framework for testing 5th generation wireless network in Pakistan. This draft includes all the necessary things like eligibility criteria, authorization and development and other legal requirements along with rules and regulations for testing this service.
Many industrial leaders including politicians have declared that the Chinese company Huawei is going to introduce 5G technology in the country. Our science and technology minister has also declared in a press conference that Huawei has almost launched this technology in the country. He further added that these will not only have a huge impact on the Smartphone industry, in fact, but it will also bring drastic changes for the media and film sector of Pakistan. He also said that our youth and decision-makers should remain alert of such technologies.
South Asian countries are considered to be a gold mine for developed countries as it is home to one-quarter of the world’s population. Companies like Huawei are already generating handsome revenues. Currently, Pakistan is facing economic crises, on account of this, our prime minister thanked Mr. Ren Zhengfei for his continued support and investment in the country. It has become essential for Pakistan to keep the flow of foreign investment smooth in order to stabilize the economy.

It is expected that Pakistan will launch its 5G services for commercial use in the year 2019. Indeed this is a good initiative took by the Government. The main aim of this initiative should not only be beneficial for the company, but also for the people of Pakistan. Pakistan is from one of those countries who are offering the cheapest rates for mobile data. Authorities must keep in mind to see the attention of customers and keep the tariff as low as possible for 5G services. Though this will be hard for the company to keep the prices low, but Government of Pakistan can keep the taxes low. There the company can attract more customers.
