He initially won gold medals at the New Delhi Asia Cup in 1989 and Beijing Asian Games in 1990. However, his biggest gold achievement came in the mid-90s.
2. Sohail Abbas:
Sohail Abbas is the most creative former captain of the Pakistan national hockey team who was popularly known as the ‘King of the Drag Flick’, making him the ultimate penalty corner specialist. He can be counted among the optimum hockey players in the country. Sohail Abbas is the highest goal scorer in international hockey with 348 international goals. He also holds the world record for most hockey goals in a calendar year, he scored 60 goals in 1999. He also won a gold medal at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.

Wasim Ahmed is one of the brightest Pakistani hockey players in the left half position who belongs to Vehari, Punjab, Pakistan. He achieved his first major success with Pakistan when the Green Shirts won the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. Two years later, he won another gold medal when Pakistan won the 2012 Doha Asian Champions Trophy. Waseem Ahmed also received the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Award of Excellence).

Muhammad Rizwan is a professional hockey player who hails from Toba Tek Singh. He plays as a midfielder for the Dutch club Schaerweijde and the Pakistan national team.
